The FTP Stop/Start tool allows customers to stop and start their FTP service. The FTP IP Restriction tool allows customers to manage an IP whitelist or IP blacklist for FTP service. Finally, the FTP Session tool displays all live FTP connections to a customer’s site and allows the customer to disconnect any of the FTP sessions in real time.
The FTP management tool suite is available in the DiscountASP.NET control panel under a new FTP Manager tab in the IIS Tools section.
In August, the company launched a new hosting add-on option in both US and UK datacenter locations, in its Microsoft SQL 2008 hosting, available to all customers. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is a major update to its enterprise database. Some of the SQL Server 2008 feature enhancements include new data types, such as geospatial data types and date/time data types.
