Hosted Solutions has completed significant upgrades to their recently acquired Boston Data Center.
Since acquiring the Charlestown based Boston Datacenters, Hosted Solutions invested nearly $1,000,000 into new infrastructure upgrades. The upgrades include: new network routing infrastructure, a redesign of the interior layout promoting better cooling, improved data backup system, additional UPS power support, upgraded monitoring capabilities, and increased security features.
“We are very excited about the changes made in Boston over our first six months,” Gary McAuliffe, Vice President and General Manager of the Boston facility, said in a Business Wire release. “The Charlestown facility has been a staple of the Boston Internet community for nearly seven years, and we are eager to keep our facility on the leading edge of technology and innovation.”
Along with the completed upgrades, Hosted Solutions plans to invest another $1.5 million on upgrades over the next 12 months. Additional projects include a new power infrastructure suite, a redesigned network operations center, an upgraded security system, and the addition of a Storage Area Network (SAN).
