The Smart Centers successfully completed the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification awarded by BSI Management Systems. ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is an internationally recognized information security management system (ISMS) standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification includes on-site assessments and encompasses security policies, organizational security, asset classification and control, personnel security, physical and environmental security, systems and network security, access controls, systems development and maintenance, business continuity management, and compliance.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standards, released in October 2005 are the successor to BS 7799-2:2002.
