iHOUSE instilled the new features, in order to provide website customers easy access to submit property listings to Google Base. The new iHOUSE solution, will submit new customers' domain names and sitemaps directly to Google via its Webmaster Tools.
The way that iHOUSE has added the feature, is designed to enable website customers' real estate property listings to be more searchable on Google. While adding a listing to their iHOUSE website, agents can request that iHOUSE submit their property listing details to Google directly on their behalf with just one click of a button. iHOUSE customers will also continue to be able to submit their property listings to Yahoo!, Trulia, and Oodle using similar processes.
In addition, iHOUSE has implemented a protocol for all new website customers that leverages Google's Webmaster Tools. iHOUSE will submit website domain names and sitemaps using a standard xml file format directly to Google on behalf of their new website customers. By leveraging Google's Webmaster Sitemap submission interface, iHOUSE will improve the likelihood that their customers' web pages are correctly and quickly added to Google's index.
